Unique shops and cafes Lethal Buzz- This is where you will find the best americano in town (and their coffee is all organic & fair trade. Espresso Post- A local favourite with delicious baked goods. Awear- Socially responsible & sustainably made clothing & yoga wear. Hearts and Crafts- A fair trade boutique full of unique gifts, clothing, art & accessories. Crows Nest Book Shop- 239 Hurontario Street. A tiny bookshop packed with good reads. Creemore Coffee Co.- A tiny cafe that sells fairtrade, organic, shade grown cofee. Collingwood Food Coop- Local, gluten-free, organic groceries and lunch to-go. Tremont Cafe/Artisan studios- A great spot for lunch on the patio.
Local restaurants, bistros & juice bars The Dornoch - A grill/pub located within about a 25min walk down Batteaux Road. Bent Taco - A hip little mexican cantina. Great atmosphere and amazing flavor. Press Juice Co. - Fresh pressed juices, smoothies, raw desserts and amazing salad bowls. Sol Kitchen - Chai's favourite lunch & take out spot. Healthy veggie & vegan options & fresh juices. Cabin Bistro- Amazing Canadian wine list & seasonal menu featuring local ingredients. The Smoke - Award winning BBQ, smoked ribs, brisket, pulled pork, homemade sauces... Hungry Sumo- The best sushi east of Vancouver (in our humble opinion). Azurra- Fine Italian dining by candle light. Great spot for a date night. Huron Club- Bistro menu with lots of vegetarian options. Live music every Fri & Sat night. Open late. Tesoro- Great atmosphere and mouth-watering pizza/pasta dishes. Northwinds Brewhouse & Eatery -Locally handcrafted beer & local in-season menu.
Off the beaten path but well worth the drive... Creemore Kitchen- "Good food made from scratch". We love the vintage decor and the garden patio. Local winery, craft beer and cider tours- Self guided tours and tasting! Kimberley General Store- Locally made crafts, artisanal breads, sandwiches, kefir smoothies, worth the trip. Clear Valley Hop Farm- Have you ever seen sheep grazing in fields of hops? Farm tours & beer tasting coming soon! Free Spirit Tours- Paddle the beautiful Beaver River with a picnic lunch (sandwhiches from above store). Highlands Nordic- A beautiful outdoor cross country skiing & snowshoe centre. Groomed trails & equipment rentals. Flying Chestnut Kitchen- Call ahead to get reservations. They are so good they don't need a website. Haisai- Ethical bakery/bistro serving wood fired pizzas. Open Fri-Sun. Only a 20 minute drive from our B&B. Creemore 100 Mile Store- Cute little shop loaded with local artisanal foods. Bicycle Cafe- Great spot to spend an afternoon with slice of pie & latte. Great vibe & live shows.
Classes and workshops Buddha Rider Yoga Studio - Yoga, barre, spin classes and smoothies. Fiddle Head Nurseries- Supplier of native plants and edible perennials. Check their website for forest gardening & edible landscaping workshops. Not so Hollow Farm - A beautiful native plant nursery located in the rolling hills of Mulmur, a 30 minute drive from Givingtree. Visit their website for workshop and event info.
